Zohair, a 14 year old refugee from Afghanistan, finds himself trapped in legal limbo in Greece. While wandering around Athens, he recollects his hometown. His life gradually brightens through the work in an old sawmill and his relationship with an old carpenter and his son.

A necessary lie told by a father to his young daughter will lead to a love story with unexpected developments and twists. Everything that was familiar and dear is suddenly lost and gives way to absence and insecurity. But the father's love is always there and he will do everything he can to guard the happiness of little Alice, without hesitation.
