We catch a 5am D train with friends TESHI and CASEY after an all night dance party. On their long journey through the awakening city, our two merry pilgrims share stories that take us out of the train on surreal swerves into imagined universes.

A Mexican biologist living in New York returns to his hometown, nestled in the majestic butterfly forests of Michoacán. The journey forces him to confront past traumas and reflect on his hybrid identity, sparking a personal metamorphosis.
