The widow, Wafiya, is surprised that she has to pay a sum of money to the bank to pay off her husband's debt. Adham proposes to her daughter Farha in exchange for paying the sum, and she agrees. They agree to keep their marriage a secret. Adham dies and his father, Mahmoud, and Saeed are surprised by his marriage. The lawyer waits until Farha gives birth to determine the division of the inheritance. The brothers agree with the midwife to strangle the newborn in exchange for giving her a sum of money.

A corrupt minister sends his men to kill his mistress's husband to look like a suicide, but the forensic doctor sees otherwise and is kidnapped in order to change the report. A gym teacher witnesses the kidnapping and tries to save her in spite of the dangerous confrontation.

The events revolve around (Riyadh), who abandons his wife and their infant daughter (Nemat), who ends up in an orphanage after the death of her mother. When (Nemat) grows up and leaves the orphanage and marries (Mahmoud), the father sees her and falls in love with her without knowing that she is his daughter. The events unfold after he learns the truth and seeks to kidnap his grandson, (Nemat's) infant son.

With her husband terminally ill, a wife becomes the target of her husband's friend who wants her money so bad that he kills his friend and proposes to his newly-widowed wife.

The idealistic rural man Abo El-Ela resumes his journey with his family, as he struggles to fight corruption and greed around him while trying to keep his loved ones away from trouble.
