Ling Qi Sa est un jeune homme naïf et gentil mais malchanceux. Ayant des parents pauvres et irresponsables, il enchaine les petits boulots afin de pouvoir joindre les deux bouts. Le jour de Noël, il perd ses deux jobs et découvre en rentrant chez lui que ses parents se sont enfuis, lui laissant d'énormes dettes. Menacé par les créanciers, Ling Qi Sa décide d'enlever une riche personne pour obtenir l'argent d'une rançon. Dans un parc, Ling Qi Sa rencontre par hasard Xiao Zhi, une parfaite proie pour son enlèvement. Mais celle-ci se méprend et croit que Ling Qi Sa lui confesse son amour. Avant que Ling Qi Sa ne puisse se résoudre à l'enlever, Xiao Zhi est capturée par d'autres ravisseurs. En effet, elle est la petite fille d'une très riche famille et subit des kidnappings régulièrement.
