Set designer Lyv, talented thirty something who lacks self-confidence, is trying for a baby with her boyish husband, but when her alcoholic father ends up unconscious in a hospital, Lyv realises how much this past relationship still impacts her everyday life.

Bohemian photographer Ivy, burdened by troubled marriage, starts a steamy affair with painter Elias, whose studio is in the same building as hers. Ivy gets swept up in whirlwind of passion, intrigues and lies, but soon her lighthearted affair becomes toxic, painful and tearful addiction. Ivy realizes that this relationship is destroying her and everyone around her. What is love? How is it born and why is it so fragile? Is ecstasis the pinnacle of human relationship?

Stylized as silent cinema, the film connects political and philosophical extremes of 1913 in a story of a young man participating at the creation of a new world. This mysterious adventurer, who was known as Peter the Lett, gets involved in a tragicomic and surreal race from a routine clerk job and a romantic passion in Riga to preparation of the world revolution in Vienna, psychoanalysis at Freud’s salon and seduction of Mata Hari in Paris.
