Mona El Shimi

Set against the backdrop of the unrest during the pre-revolution period of January 25, 2011, by following the stories of six relationships in different stages that express ambition, happiness and disappointments, that are connected with Asham , a street vendor, who expresses optimism about Egypt's future.

In one of the most extraordinary nights in the history of Egypt, the prisons were suddenly opened, leaving thousands of prisoners wandering the desert. Among them was one man trying to find his way in a city that is rapidly changing for good.

Maha has always been passionate about cinema, and as a set designer she's become an expert at creating imaginary worlds. Under immense pressure at work, she sights another life on the horizon and begins slipping between realities-one resembling the film set she's designed and the other her supposed real life. As she grows ever more entangled in each, the border between reality and imagination becomes blurred, and she must choose for the first time what she truly desires.

Set between Beirut and Cairo; Sharifa goes through many crises, including her mother's alcoholism and being on tranquilizers. As the events unfold, Sharifa falls in love with a university doctor.

Despite Sherif's success in high school with grades that qualify him to enter the Faculty of Engineering, which his parents dream he would attend, he aspires to own his own project of making paper chairs.

After lashing out at her husband and causing him a severe injury that amounts to a felony, a nervy young woman embarks on a journey to prove her innocence.
