A woman who is the owner of a group of shops discovers, after the death of her husband, that he was married to another woman. She decides to marry one of her employees, who tries to make her happy with all sincerity. But he meets a beautiful young widow, which leads into trouble.

The story of Rohaim Al-Menshawy, a self-made man from Upper Egypt who falls for the singer Hasanat. After his siblings oppose their marriage due to the gap in social status, he withholds their share of their late father's inheritance from them.

An upper-Egyptian who lives on the border of the poverty line decides to earn an honest living by having two jobs: A teacher at a public school during the day, and a taxi driver in the evening. Yet, through his struggle to make ends meet he falls into the pit of drug trade.

The events of the series revolve around the story of the rise from the bottom to the top of Abdel Ghafour Al Borai (Noor Al Sharif), starting from the agency of Hajj Ibrahim Sardinah (Abdul Rahman Abu Zahra) until he becomes a private business owner who makes a fortune, during which he has admired Fatima (Abla Kamel), a saleswoman. Al-Kushari, whom he admired, passes the days and marries Fatima and gives birth to his son Abdel-Wahhab (Mohamed Riyad), and four girls (Sunni, Bahira, Nafisa, and Nazira), and despite the availability of the elements of happiness in the life of Abdel Ghafour Al-Borai, he suffered from the separation of his only son. About him, and Abdel Wahab's insistence on building a very special world away from his father and his influence.

A Kuwaiti young man marries an Egyptian girl while studying in Egypt, and when he finishes his studies, he divorces her and marries his cousin, and travels without his knowledge of her pregnancy and after giving birth, Desouki marries her and raises her daughter. But after years, the father returns to Egypt and discovers that he has a daughter.

In a dramatic context, the events of the series deal with the changes of the social relations between the Shazli family members and its head, Mahmoud, from the Royal era until the events of 1952.

The story is adapted from the famous Arabic fantasy novel of the same name.
