O Ses Türkiye is a Turkish reality singing competition and local version of The Voice first broadcast as The Voice of Holland. It started on October 10, 2011. Its first season was held in February 19, 2012 on Show TV. The second season starts on Autumn 2012 on Star TV. One of the important premises of the show is the quality of the singing talent. Four coaches, themselves popular performing artists, train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner.

Le Concours Eurovision de la chanson est un événement annuel organisé par l'Union européenne de radio-télévision (UER). Il réunit les membres de l'Union dans le cadre d'une compétition musicale, diffusée en direct et en simultané par tous les diffuseurs participants à la télévision, ainsi qu'à la radio et sur Internet. Le nombre de pays participants n'a cessé d'augmenter, passant de sept à une quarantaine au XXIe siècle. À travers les décennies, le Concours a évolué, s'est adapté et réinventé, accompagnant les développements technologiques et musicaux, mais aussi historiques et politiques.

Idool is the Belgian version of the Idol series. The series was launched in late 2002 by Belgian television network VTM. The contestants are first narrowed down to 100 contestants, and then down to 30-50 through several auditions and tests by a panel of judges. From this point on, the viewers decide who are in and who are out, and the judges limit themselves to commenting. TV viewers being what they are, the votes are based not solely on the singers vocal performance, but also on his or her looks, clothes, entertainment value, and other factors.
