Set 18 months after movie "Library Wars." After the government's enactment of the Media Betterment Act, battles wage between the Betterment Squads and the Library Defense. The Library Defense resists censorship and advocates freedom of expression. The biggest battle awaits for the Library Defense.

Mai apprend que sa petite sœur Yui est portée disparue. Yui travaille en tant que maîtresse d'école primaire et venait souvent visiter la maison de son étudiant Toshio Saeki. En effet ce dernier refusait de venir à l'école. Mai tente alors de localiser Toshio Saeki pour en savoir plus sur la disparition de sa sœur.

Set in the year 2019 in Japan. In order to crack down on free expression, a new law is passed, which allows for the government to create an armed force to find and destroy objectionable printed material. Meanwhile, to oppose this oppressive crackdown, the Library Force is created. The Library force, including instructor Atsushi Dojo and Iku Kasahara, work to protect the libraries. A fierce battle then ensues between these two groups.

Nana and Shota are a newlywed couple and Nana is 15 years older than Shota. Nana works as a designer and Shota works as a gym trainer. They both enjoy mystery. The newlywed couple then move to an apartment and they attend a resident’s meeting there. Nana and Shota become involved in murder cases that take place at the apartment. Residents get murdered one by one. Some residents have a motive, but those suspects have an alibi. Because of this, an arrest has yet to be made.

Michiko Daimon est une chirurgienne freelance. Elle est embauchée à l'hôpital universitaire pour remplacer plusieurs médecins qui ont quitté leur poste. Daimon n'est pas une chirurgienne typique. Elle n'a cure de la hiérarchie, ne fait que ce qui nécessite un diplôme de médecine, ne fait pas d'heures supplémentaires. Ses honoraires sont exorbitants pour l’hôpital car elle n'échoue jamais dans ses opérations. Bousculant un hôpital sclérosé par les luttes de pouvoir entre médecins, elle pratique une médecine de haut niveau toujours au bénéfice de ses patients.
