In a fast-paced action film with an international backdrop, an unsuspecting Edith (Mireille Perrier) goes to Frankfurt to work for a German friend who is investigating some illegalities in the transportation industry. After Edith arrives, her friend leaves for Berlin, so Edith goes to stay at the house her friend shares with a second-generation German-Turkish woman. Meanwhile, Gordon (Bruce Thurman) is out photographing some journalists armed with video cameras who are spying on a wealthy honcho in the trucking business. He accidentally follows Edith and photographs her, then ends up saving her from some attackers. The dramatic action intensifies as questions arise about what certain trucks are carrying into Germany, what Edith's friend has to do with exposing the cargo on those trucks, and whether or not Edith will remain an unscathed, innocent by-stander.

Kemal Kayankaya, a private detective, was hired by a Turkish women, Ilter, to search for his husband, Amend, who has been missing since the death of her father, Vassif. Unknownst to him, he was about to unravel the secrets of his client's family, as well as their various dealings with the underworld and the police. Moreover, being a Turk raised in a German foster family, he has also begun to understand and accept his own ethnicity.

Günay, elle, a été élevée par un couple très libéral d'intellectuels turcs, qui ne veulent pas entendre parler de son ami kurde Coskun, ce dernier venant d'une famille ultrareligieuse. Pas facile pour les hommes non plus : Emrah voudrait bien se marier avec son petit ami allemand Tim, mais cela supposerait de faire son coming out. Or ses parents lui ont déjà choisi une épouse turque. Quant à Salih, il ne tient pas forcément à se faire passer la bague au doigt, mais puisqu'il est menacé de reconduite à la frontière, il aimerait bien lier son destin à celui d'une ravissante Allemande...

Yasemin is a 17-year old Turkish girl who lives with her parents near Hamburg in Germany. While her mother and father accept that Yasemin has her own German friends, they also expect her to honor the traditions of their country of origin. The arrival of Jan, a German student aged 21, throws this situation into conflict.
