Some new age UFO lovers groups have announced that the Earth will be without energy and sunlight for three days. Three dark days of galactic cleaning by superior light brothers. Behind this apocalyptic resource is a depraved alien plan to start an invasion and supplant humankind leaders.

The story takes place in Colonia del Sacramento, a charming little colonial town in Uruguay. It narrates a day in the life of three members of a family: the son, the mother, and the grandfather, taking as a common thread an old cookbook. Contemporaneity, love and death come together in the lives of the three characters.

A young woman buys a pillow from some gypsies. Upon awakening, she mysteriously feels as if her life is being consumed. Nobody can cure her from the unknown illness that finally leads to her death.
