It’s been a good couple of days for Victor Campillo fans! Between this new Ace vid and the Marseille edit we posted yesterday it feels like he’s put out two parts worth of footage. Apparently all the shit he got at La Plaine was filmed in a week too – pretty mad considering the state of some of those marathon lines… Something should also be said about how shocking Ibu’s spring is in this thing. Like by now we’re kind of used to seeing him dwarf spots, but look closely at how little he had to prepare / bend down for that blunt by République?! He made that thing look like a curb. Loved Noah‘s footage too. You can tell more and more care is going into picking what tricks are getting done where (the nollie 180 to sw feeble into the bank was extra satisfying) and he’s got that kind of natural board control that makes everything look super fun and playful (sort of like this guy).

Directed by Romain Batard, this 16-minute video is mainly shot in France, with a few trips to the Spanish Basque Country and Lausanne. The aim of this tour was to connect with the local skate scenes in France, visit skate shops, and meet the new faces of French skateboarding. So, the team skated at classic spots across France and discovered some unique locations.

It was starting to feel like this day would never come but here we are, and we’re beyond stoked to finally bring you Much Quiet, the Sirus F Gahan video, which succeeded in bringing together Vans’ eclectic cast of 20+ London and Paris based riders. Sirus was of course assisted in his filming duties by 5T‘s Elliot Bonnabel, Austin Bristow and countless others, Sam Ashley, Alex Pires and Rafal Wojnowski joined some of the missions to shoot stills for the mag, and you can read all about this collaborative project in our interview with Helena Long. A full-length skate film that has been two years in the making. Featuring Carhartt WIP team riders across a slew of European cities, INSIDE OUT immerses the viewers in their everyday lives and the chaotic processes that lie behind every skate film.

Directed by Paris-based filmmaker Joaquim Bayle, PRECIOUS builds on Carhartt WIP’s last full-length skate project INSIDE OUT, which was released in 2022. The name of the project derives from the delicate yet gruelling process of shooting tricks on film. “Now that I understand skateboarding a little more, I wanted to pay tribute to its subversive form, its poetic form,” says Bayle of the feature, describing a “precious feeling I had when I started skateboarding and which, as I have gotten older, I've tended to forget.” In encapsulating this, he employs a multi-sensory approach. Warm, gauzy footage is punctuated by shutter clicks and black and white photography. Quiet moments of reflection are interrupted by the sound of wheels on concrete. Softly spoken word drifts in and out of a soundtrack of sludge metal and synthwave.
