Writer and rapper Sticks (Junte Uiterwijk, 1982) is one of the most influential and successful artists in the Netherlands. Over the past twenty years, Sticks has released more than 13 albums as a solo artist and in a group - including with Opgezwolle and the Fakkebrigade. To find out what lies behind Sticks' inexhaustible urge to create, documentary maker Matthijs van Camerijk decides to follow the Zwolle resident for two years. It appears to be a period in which Sticks impressively expands his impressive oeuvre, with four new projects.

In the documentary, directors Linda Hakeboom and Rolf Hartogensis follow the life of the young singer for two years. S10 shares stories from her early childhood and about her psychological problems with unprecedented openness through her music. The program has the form of a game show in which two teams, each with a team leader and weekly guest, compete against each other. The scoring is not serious; after the first round, for instance, the score is always 4-4.

Depuis, le Concours s'est tenu chaque année (excepté en 2020, du fait de l'épidémie mondiale de COVID-19). Le nombre de pays participants n'a cessé d'augmenter, passant de sept à une quarantaine au XXIe siècle. À travers les décennies, le Concours a évolué, s'est adapté et réinventé, accompagnant les développements technologiques et musicaux, mais aussi historiques et politiques.
