Francis Mérey

A la frontière de la Poslavie, André de Bussac rencontre une jeune femme qui lui demande sa protection. Il la fait passer pour sa femme sans se douter que cette inconnue est une dangereuse révolutionnaire. Après un coup d'état manqué elle parvient à s'échapper tandis que Bussac ne peut oublier son aventure.

Completely ruined, André is left with nothing more than the clothes on his back. He is hired as a controller in a small theater and there meets his wife, from whom he is in the process of divorcing. She tells him that he has just recieved an inheritance and that she still loves him.
