The events of this film, spanning from the very first moments after the Occupation until the first years of the 1980s. In those years, which are crucial for Greek History, the adventurous path of a poor family is illustrated, that’s slowly going to end up filthy rich. The members of the aforesaid family found out the hard way, that money cannot buy happiness.

Captain Michalis, a fierce and indomitable warrior, has sworn to be black-clad, unshaven and unsmiling until Crete is liberated. But when he meets Emine, wife of his blood brother, Nuri Bey, he is possessed by 'a demon' that despite his efforts, he cannot get out of mind.

Four men and one woman, possessed by a "natural need" for the law, create the NSPR (Special Body to Fight Poverty) and intervene whenever circumstances call for them. However, the driving force behind everything is the old hacker named Nikephoros A', who not only watches, protects and sometimes subtly guides his son's scandalous group, but also paves the way for the Greece of the future...
