Tofiq and his father watch Snake in the Eagle's Shadow, and because of their differences they get into a debate; to settle it, they decide to have a showdown. Tofiq loses and, because of it, is forced to leave their house and go into the city. There he encounters someone else and they start having beef, and this goes on until the end of the movie.

It's 2004, and the news that Saddam Hussein has died sends shock waves through the Middle East. Shaho is the son of an elderly man of Iranian Kurdish heritage; the old man's health is failing him after suffering a stroke, and he's convinced he doesn't have long to live. Shaho, his father, and their family have been living in an Iraqi refugee camp for a while, but with the passing of Saddam, Shaho believes the time is right for them to return to Iran, where father can spend his last days in the land of his birth. However, as Shaho is making plans for the trip back to Iran, his cousin Sheelan visits the family for the first time in twenty years; her parents fled to Sweden when she was a child, where she's now a physician, and she wants her dying uncle to join her there where he'll be safe and well cared for.

In the winter of 1988, in the depths of the Iraq/Iran war, the border town of Halabja was attacked by chemical weapons with all its people and their different stories.

Un road movie se déroulant en Irak en 2003 lors de la chute de Saddam. Deux Kurdes recherchent les parents d'un garçon de cinq ans retrouvé dans la rue en larmes. Il s'appelle aussi Saddam. En même temps, les parents du garçon le recherchent partout, inquiets à cause du nom du garçon qui est désormais tabou. Toutes les tentatives des deux Kurdes pour se débarrasser de l'enfant échouent : ni les Américains ni les hommes de religion de la mosquée n'en veulent. « Little Saddam » commence à devenir un vrai problème. Dans les rues et tout autour d'eux, ils sont entourés du chaos et de l'atmosphère folle de l'époque, avec une violence toujours sur le point d'exploser.

1988. Ako, un Kurde, combat les Iraniens dans l'armée de Saddam Hussein. Il rêve de retourner dans son pays. Alors qu'il se demande si une « bonne blessure » ne serait pas le prétexte idéal, on lui demande de rapatrier dans son pays le corps d'un martyr. Il fait le voyage avec un chauffeur de taxi arabe.

A Kurdish girl returns to Kurdistan from the United States. On this trip she goes to a village to the house of a friend of his father. Because of the different cultures of the United States and Kurdistan, the girl causes problems for the family.
