Two women from the same family, one from 1830 and the other from 1930, the first subject to the rigor of the customs of her time and the other in an atmosphere of independence and freedom.

To win the prize that is offered to the one who endures three laps to a boxer, a mechanic learns to box and becomes champion; in the meantime he gets involved with a woman but eventually returns to his wife.
