In the Pearl Harbor era, a second-generation Japanese-American grapples with his identity amid the turmoil of World War II. Born in Los Angeles and educated in Japan, he returns to the USA and works at a Japanese newspaper. However, the outbreak of war and a racist executive order forcefully deport his entire family to a detention center in California. Torn between his American upbringing and Japanese heritage, he decides to serve as a translator and goes to war.

About the wedding day of Seto Ryosuke, an elementary school teacher, and Aikawa Mizuki, a lemon farmer. Right before the ceremony, Mizuki finds out that his partner didn't tell his parents, relatives, and friends that he is marrying a man. This discovery starts a series of events the two have to face, like a furious outburst of Ryosuke's father, a big fight between heads of the two families, as well as an appearance of Mizuki's ex-boyfriend.

Shogo Kai is a lawyer at one of the big 4 law firms in Japan. He is good at his job, but he is arrogant. Shogo Kai only thinks about winning and he thinks the only way to satisfy his clients is to win. He is getting close to becoming a senior partner at the law firm. Shogo Kai's boss worries about his focus on winning above all else. As a condition of his promotion at the law firm, his boss asks him to hire a young lawyer as an associate. Shogo Kai interviews prospective young lawyers and meets Daiki Suzuki. Daiki Suzuki has high intelligence and his memory ability is amazing.

Kumiko, who works in the sales department at an advertising agency, unexpectedly inherits “MAJEST”, a host club in Kabukicho on the brink of collapse. She decides to revive the host club to its full glory, while working alongside a quirky ensemble of male hosts.
