Saburo, lycéen peureux ayant du mal à voir la réalité en face, est en voyage scolaire dans une reconstitution de village médiéval lorsqu'il est soudain projeté en pleine période Sengoku.
Alors qu'il ne sait d'abord pas où il a atterri, la première personne qu'il croise lui ressemble comme deux gouttes d'eau et se trouve être Oda Nobunaga. Ce dernier offre son sabre à Saburo et lui demande de prendre sa place. Saburo se croyant encore dans un parc d'attractions historique accepte avec plaisir de jouer le rôle de Nobunaga. Ce n'est que lorsqu'il verra du vrai sang couler pendant une bataille qu'il pensait n'être que du théâtre que Saburo prend enfin conscience de sa situation.
Malheureusement pour lui comme il va vite s'en rendre compte, entre guerres de seigneurs, trahisons familiales et assassinats sanglants, l'époque n'est pas particulièrement adaptée à son caractère de doux rêveur idéaliste et trouillard.

Ichinose Miki est une collégienne de 14 ans tout à fait responsable, elle n'a aucun problème particulier, sauf peut-être un peu de mal à suivre en cours (c'est pour cela qu'elle prend des cours du soir). Là, elle y rencontre Kirino Satoshi, plus vieux qu'elle d'un an, avec qui elle va se lier d'amitié. Petit à petit les deux adolescents vont se rapprocher. Mais voilà que deux mois après le début de l'histoire, Miki va se rendre compte qu'elle est enceinte ! Les réactions des gens la concernant vont changer du tout au tout, ils vont très vite la juger et la mépriser. Ses parents complètement désarmés et sous le choc vont essayer de faire au mieux pour leur « petite » fille. La jeune fille va subir bien des tourments et des tracas, mais en fin de compte quelle vie va-t-elle décider de mener et comment la mènera-t-elle ? Ce qui est sûr c'est qu'elle devra surmonter beaucoup d'obstacles…
