Au XIVe siècle, les Etats et principautés anatoliens, désorganisés et épuisés, émigrent vers Bursa pour fuir les attaques mongoles. Ces peuples de cultures et de croyances différentes vont se retrouver liés dans leur qupete de liberté avec pour dessein commun la construction d'une ville cosmopolite et hétéroclite. Karagoz et Hacivat, deux exilés connus pour leur intelligence, leur grivoiserie et leur connaissance en architecture, se voient confier la construction de la mosquée principale. Mais leur humour de plus en plus subversif dérange et sème le trouble...

While fathers usually guide their sons through life crises, things go the other way around in this independent comedy-drama from Turkey. Adnan (Reha Özcan) has been a widower for nearly five years, but he acts as if his wife passed only a few weeks ago; he's been trapped in a deep funk for years and has become emotionally unavailable to his teenage son Burak (Kamer Celenk). Adnan doesn't fare much better with the rest of the world, and a long series of screw-ups leads to him losing his job as a parking lot attendant and being named in a lawsuit. While Burak has already moved out of the house and is living with sympathetic relatives, he decides he needs his father back and sets out to free Adnan from his doldrums, though that's more easily said than done

Hayri and Orhan are two music producers head over heels in debt. In an attempt to find the next big thing to turn the business around, they contact Ferhat, a gastarbeiter in Germany, and desperately bring him to Istanbul to sign him. As they are struggling to find the necessary funds to promote Ferhat's debut album, a mysterious rich woman named Firuze shows up and starts supporting them. The future now seems bright, but things are not always what they seem...
