The uncle falls in love with the woman and covets her wealth. He agrees for the two girls to marry Musk and Amber. Amber's uncle comes to compete with the uncle, and the American aunt herself comes from the United States.

Taking place in Baghdad, the story follows the nurse Wahiba and her life in the Iraqi capital during the nineties, as it focuses on the suffering of the Iraqi people during that period of the economic embargo on Iraq.
