The co-headliner features two of the best bantamweights in the world. Bellator bantamweight champion Darrion Caldwell challenges Kyoji Horiguchi for the inaugural RIZIN bantamweight title.

RIZIN 16 live from the Kobe World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan. The event features family members of the late “Kid” Yamamoto, as his sister Miyuu Yamamoto faces Kanna Asakura and his nephew Erson Yamamoto battles Tim Eschtruth. Tenshin Nasukawa also competes at the event in a kickboxing match.
