Yu-mi applies to a marine outfit to become their first female member. Finding out about their NO woman-policy, she pushes herself to the extreme and fils a petition. After overcoming many obstacles, she is finally accepted for her outstanding performance. However, conflicts never cease between sergeants and Yu-mi, who’s new to the tradition and culture of the marines. Following the sudden death of a trainee, Sergeant HA, she is appointed to the head of the team. Highly motivated Yu-mi loses her troupe's trust after losing IBS. Le film se base sur l'histoire de quatre relations différentes : Une mère atteinte d'un cancer qui veut retrouver la confiance de son fils, une fille muette animant un personnage dans un parc d'attraction, amoureuse d'un peintre à qui elle n'ose pas montrer son visage, un garçon au chômage qui cherche un travail afin que sa copine ne le quitte pas, et enfin une jeune femme qui vit tous les jours dans l'angoisse que son fiancé, un pompier, meurt pendant un sauvetage. Chaque jour, la plupart de ses personnages se rencontrent pour le meilleur, mais aussi pour le pire...

It aired on SBS from November 2, 2009 to April 16, 2010 on Mondays to Fridays at 19:20 for 116 episodes. The melodrama deals with a broken family, betrayal, adultery and revenge with a dash of violence. Wife Returns revolves around a woman who gets revenge on the husband of her identical twin sister. The sister was forced to leave her husband and their child by her mother-in-law. The series was part of the "Wife Trilogy," which includes Temptation of Wife and Two Wives.
