Ghasem is forced to sell their cow to spend a hard winter in their village. As soon as the sale is made, the cow goes missing.

Zara is a working Kurdish woman, who lost both her national ID card and birth certificate. She goes to a civil registry office to get them again because she needs them for an employment application, but the staff tells her that she has lost her fingerprints and needs to give her hands a break for a couple of weeks. Her employment application has a strict deadline and she can’t wait that long. That’s when she tries to find a different solution.

C'est l'histoire de trois membres d'une famille au milieu d'un désert irakien après la première guerre du Golfe (1980-1988). Un jour, l'arrivée de plusieurs personnes va changer à jamais leur destin. Par un procédé cinématographique très intéressant, le réalisateur parvient à nous captiver jusqu'à la dernière seconde, sans jamais tomber dans le pathétique.
