Karuvarai, being a prime example for an utopian village which has no crimes, people are taught self-discipline as a way of life,and honesty and hard work is valued. The villagers even shun a prestigious award for the model village, but don't want the local politicians to interfere in their way of functioning, which earns wrath of politicians.

To create a ghost story to prevent his old bungalow from being sold, they begin formulating an action plan. What will they do when they find out that the bungalow is actually haunted?

A string of incidents intertwines two friends, a minister, a gangster, and four small-time criminals.
