When a lifetime tennis player finds his favorite public venue converted into pickleball courts, his dislike for the upstart sport with plastic balls begins. After being challenged by one of his former tennis buddies, who has never taken a set from him, to try the new sport, he finally consents in order to rebut the claim that he is afraid of losing. Estranged Daughter (Lori) gets dumped by her deadbeat boyfriend and she ends up homeless. With no place else to go, she asks her father if she can stay with him, until she can get back on her feet. Lori's sister (Julie) is a self righteous do-good looks down on her sister and her struggle with addiction. After a family fight Lori turns to alcohol, but her father won't let her. He helps her find God again and allow her walk with Christ break her addiction.

When shy guy Brent receives a Heavenly communication that he is to marry the complete stranger he encounters in a restaurant, the challenge to find the courage to ask her out disrupts his peace of mind. When a chance opportunity for a gallant rescue leads to the perfect opportunity. Brent makes it to first base. His chances of getting to second base are crushed when Kaitlyn finds out that Brent has beliefs that her own church and pastor father oppose.
