If you had the chance to make a film, what would it be? "The Egg" is a documentary about people who have ideas for films - the kind of films they want to make. The characters themselves present their ideas, and some of the stories they tell are immediately brought to life on screen.

Peu après l’effondrement de l’URSS, Viktorija emmène pour la première fois Kovas, son fils de 12 ans, dans son pays natal. Elle s’est enfuie de Lituanie occupée par l’Union soviétique 20 ans auparavant et y retourne pour récupérer le domaine familial. Mais lorsqu’ils découvrent une pauvre famille russe habitant sur la propriété tombée en lambeaux, ils doivent réfléchir à jusqu’où ils sont prêts à aller pour réaliser leurs rêves.
