Alors que quelqu’un vient de son­ner à la porte d’entrée, leurs employeurs, Marianne et Peter, les informent que des agents d’immigration sont à leur recherche. Le couple pro­pose alors à Ana et Nico de se cacher dans le sous-sol de leur mai­son et de leur remettre leur télé­phone por­table par mesure de pré­cau­tion. À mesure que les jours passent, reclus sous le même toit, chaque famille devient de plus en plus méfiante et ques­tionne les inten­tions réelles de chacune.
