Pak, chauffeur de taxi et Hoi, retraité, vivent à Hong Kong. Ils ont construit leur vie autour de leur famille mais leur rencontre, au hasard d’une rue, les entraîne sur les pentes d’une belle histoire d’amour, qu’ils décident de vivre sans toutefois bouleverser les traditions de leur communauté.

Une série d’attentats à la bombe se produit à Hong Kong, suscitant la peur parmi la population. L’ancien agent de déminage Poon Shing-Fung, tombé dans le coma à la suite d’une explosion, devient le principal suspect en raison de ses liens avec l’organisation criminelle Vendetta. Après son réveil, Poon est interrogé et emprisonné. Il s’évade pour découvrir la vérité et prouver son innocence….
