The story follows young Ali Baba who, with his little sister, embarks on a seafaring journey in search of his missing father and brother. Aboard a huge ship owned by the Sultan, they are hit by a tremendous and violent storm, and end up shipwrecked on a desert island.

Ali Baba, un jeune bûcheron, vivait il y a bien longtemps dans un pays lointain. Bien qu'il fut très pauvre, Ali Baba rêvait de devenir riche pour épouser son seul amour, Alicia, la fille du Sultan. Un jour, accompagné de Misère, son âne parlant, Ali Baba est témoin du pillage d'honnêtes gens. Cachés dans les fourrés, il voit les 40 voleurs entrer dans une caverne après avoir prononcé des mots mystérieux. Après le départ des brigands, impatients et curieux, Ali Baba et Misère vont prononcer à leur tour la formule magique, "Sésame, Ouvre-toi". Ali baba va-t-il réaliser son rêve...
