Freshman Yuan Juntang applied to Minsong University in order to get closer to Zhu Zhu, whom he has had a crush on. At the university, he meets Li Shiya who used to be his idol, and takes a temporary absence from school.

Nous suivons les péripéties d'une mystérieuse jeune fille, accompagnée d'un jeune moine et d'un démon médecin. A eux trois, ils résolvent les problèmes des humains et guérissent les maladies causées par les démons et fantômes.

Alors qu’il se prépare à entamer sa première année à l’université Minsong dans l’espoir de retrouver Zhu Zhu dont il est amoureux depuis plusieurs années, Juntang Yuan croise le chemin de la mystérieuse Shiya Li, sa nouvelle colocataire. Si dans un premier temps, le jeune homme semble vouloir éviter cette dernière, ancienne “idol” ayant quitté subitement le monde du show-business neuf mois plus tôt, il ne peut s’empêcher d’éprouver une curiosité grandissante à son égard.

Adapted from a popular online novel originally published between 2007 and 2008, the animation tells the tale of Zheng Shaopeng, a university student who finds himself transported back in time to ancient China after a book falls on his head. Thrust into the body of a poor scholar named Yang Lin, Zheng navigates a turbulent era marked by internal conflict and external threats. Through his wisdom and ingenuity, Yang rises through the ranks of the fictional Danzhu Dynasty, tackling corruption, fending off enemies, and ushering in an era of technological advancement and enlightenment.
