Weza

The story of a family torn apart; the son goes to prison instead of his father for drug trafficking. While the other son marries a bad- tempered woman who abuses her mother-in-law forcing her to flee to work as a maid at a hospital.

Mother Khadija (Amina Rizk) works as a maid to raise her daughter Nemat (Shadia). The school principal (Nelly Mazloum) sympathizes with her and gives her a room in her garden to live in with her daughter. Nemat is raised with Mona (Amal Farid), the daughter of the principal. She loves Nemat, the wealthy young man Hassan (Hassan Youssef), but his family rejects their marriage. Nemat is ashamed of her mother's work and runs away from home. Nemat works in several jobs but is subjected to many harassment, and at the same time she continues her relationship with Hassan despite all the pressures around her.

Djamila, jeune femme algérienne vie avec son frère Hadi et son oncle Mustafa dans le quartier de la Casbah d'Alger sous l'occupation française de l'Algérie, voit toute l'étendue de l'injustice, de la tyrannie et de la cruauté sur ses compatriotes par les soldats français. L'esprit nationaliste de Jamila se renforcera lorsqu'elle les forces françaises envahiront son université pour arrêter sa camarade de classe Amina qui se suicidera en ingérant du poison. Peu de temps après, l'éminent chef de la guérilla algérienne Youssef se réfugie chez elle, elle se rend compte que son oncle Mustafa fait partie de ce réseau de combattants rebelles anticolonial. Son oncle la rattache au Front de libération nationale (FLN) . Une série d'événements illustrent la participation de Jamila à des opérations de résistance contre l'occupant avant qu'elle ne soit finalement capturée et torturée. Finalement, malgré les efforts de son avocat français, Jamila est condamnée à mort...

The story revolves around the singer (Dalal) who works in a cabaret. Many men fall in love with her, but she prefers the wealthy (Mustafa). She marries him and moves to live with him on his estate. (Mustafa's) mother, who wanted her son to marry his cousin, is shocked. When she is injured in an accident, a doctor comes to treat her and meets Dalal, as he was one of her former clients. The doctor proposes to (Mustafa's) cousin, and (Dalal) refuses this marriage, which will reveal her past. She decides to kill the doctor to preserve her past from her husband's family.
