Sans qu’elle s’y attende, sa tante Jean qu’elle n’a pas vue depuis des années, lui offre une échappatoire : vivre et travailler dans sa ferme dans la campagne texane. Avant qu'elle change d’avis, Libby prépare sa voiture, attrape les enfants et prend la route. La vie à la ferme de tante Jean s’avère plus excitante et mystérieuse que prévu, surtout après avoir rencontré James (Josh Duhamel), le responsable d’exploitation bourru. Libby se rend compte qu'elle n'a peut-être pas simplement échangé une vie avec sa mère hystérique contre une vie avec sa tante un peu marginale : elle a peut-être trouvé l'endroit pour ramener sa petite famille - et elle-même - à la vie.

Deux frères rivaux s'affrontent dans des tournois de catch. L'un joue traditionnellement le héros et l'autre son antagoniste. Mais la vie va aussi les opposer alors qu'ils cherchent tous deux à reprendre le flambeau du père, ancienne gloire du métier.
