Paddy Connor

Freddy (Maurice Compte), un jeune "routard" ténébreux, part pour Oklahoma City retrouver son père qu'il n'a pas vu depuis son enfance. Il fait la rencontre, dans une station service, d'Albert (Pady Connor), un adolescent qui désire rejoindre sa vraie mère, qu'il n'a jamais connue, à Reno. Ce dernier se moque avec des gestes obscènes d'un automobiliste qui vient faire le plein.Ils n'ont rien en commun : l'aîné est taciturne, toujours sur le qui-vive, hanté par l'idée d'une paternité trop précoce, tandis que l'autre est un joyeux lutin qui ne tient pas en place. Et pourtant, ils vont désormais faire la route ensemble, entre auto-stop et trains de marchandises, et monter quelques coups qui pourraient bien mal tourner pour l'un d'eux.

Cleveland. 1973. Marv, the owner of an old neighborhood Jewish deli, must stay open 24 hours to cater to a new generation of clientèle, but straight-laced neighborhood do-gooders want to close him down. Meanwhile inside, hippies, bikers and crusty old Jewish men, caught in the throes of changing times and culture clash, fight over turf and yearn for a waitress to take their orders. Into this milieu drops new waitress, Susan, a wholesome small town beauty who must struggle with testy customers, a dubious romance, and a jealous head-waitress. Her future and the fate of the regulars hang by a thread as Marv takes increasingly desperate measures to save his deli.
