A difficult period in Egypt in the year 1947, when the villages of Egypt attacked cholera. A doctor (Shukri), who tried to serve the villagers to save them from poverty and hunger, is appointed in a village. (Adel Bey) The feudal lord of the village exploits its people to work on his land as forced labor and whoever objects to hand him over to a mental hospital, taking advantage of his influence.

(Hassan), the simple contractor, lives a happy life with his wife (Amina) and his daughter (Laila). He succeeds in his work, becomes a wealthy contractor, and meets (Murad) Bey and they start a company. (Nima), (Murad's) playful sister, tries to lure (Hassan) into... She falls into her trap, and succeeds in doing so in order to cover up the suspicious actions of her brother (Murad). Hassan leaves his wife (Amina) and divorces her. His daughter, Laila, and her fiancé, Aziz, try to expose Naama and Murad and reunite the family.

Both Rushdie and Ramzia work in the field of social activism, and they try to help Wafayah, Ramzia's sister, who is engaged to a traitorous man. They spread a rumor that Wafayah is suffering from tuberculosis, causing the marriage project to fail. Then Rushdie and Ramzia agree that the husband will play the role of lover for (Wafia) in order to comfort her. Will the plan succeed, or will the representation become reality?
