Depuis l'enfance, Ned sait qu'il a un don un peu spécial. Il peut, très brièvement, ramener les gens à la vie. Adulte, il est devenu un fantastique pâtissier passant son temps libre à aider son seul ami, un détective privé, dans ses enquêtes. Ramener à la vie des victimes peut en effet être utile.
