In 1996 Shorecrest High School won an acoustic performance from Weezer in their cafeteria from a radio contest. This is around the release of their iconic Pinkerton album, some of the acoustic versions of these songs can be heard on the bonus release of Pinkerton.

Weezer takes the stage at the TD Garden in Boston for a cinematic event featuring band members Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner.
