Baptisé Transistor Revolt lors de sa création à Chicago, le groupe est toujours mené par le chanteur et compositeur Tim McIlrath. En 2011, l’album « Endgame » a trusté les charts aux USA, en Allemagne et au Canada, où il a été certifié platine.
