Wimbledon 2011 is the definitive story of the 125th Championships. In the Men's Singles, the world number one Rafael Nadal returned to SW19 to defend his title, hot off the success of a sixth French Open victory and determined to prevail ahead of 2011's form player Novak Djokovic. In the Women's Singles defending champion Serena Williams was attempting to win her 14th Grand Slam crown, despite having played sparingly since winning the 2010 title due to injury and illness. Six-time champion Roger Federer, in search of a record equaling 7th triumph, crashed out at the quarter-final stage for the second year in succession, beaten by the twelfth seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.

The film follows the life of Mijo and his family in a poor Croatian village, during the turbulent years of World War II. The non-linear and elliptical plot gradually forms a clear picture that testifies to the eternal cycle of history and the impossibility of a real change in the Balkans.

Can the thread of bad luck, violence and suffering which is braided deeply into the generations of one family be broken? Beba's mother is a woman of poor health and weak character. Beba's father is sullen and violent. Beba's brother is possessive and problematic. Beba's boyfriend is from a correctional institution. Has Beba's daughter any chance to break this vicious circle, has she got any chance to become a beloved, happy person?

Croatia in the 1980-s: in terms of politics, things are happening that will change the map of the Europe by the end of the century. The National Security Service (UDBA) is still one of the most active and most effective intelligent communities in Europe. Boris Biscan, UDBA's old employee, is a witness to all the changes going about - the professionals are replaced by the criminals from UDBA, who are willing to deal with political emigrants, offering them political protection in return for their services. Boris is lost in this new world, and the old one has obviously come to its end.
