When a promising young boxer is crippled in a car accident, he falls into a life of dissipation and depression. No boxing ring or martial arts club will take him on -- that is, until an aiki jujitsu master helps the young man develop techniques uniquely tailored to a wheelchair. What starts off as a sad film revs up into an exciting and fun series of epiphanies in which the young man realizes his situation isn't as hopeless as it seems.

Rieko Natsume, a new lawyer who is eager to save people by law, is recommended by her senior lawyer Noriko to work under Bunsuke Inokari. Inokari, nicknamed court vandalism, is far from the image of a brilliant lawyer, and Rieko is stunned by the painful appearance of the stubble. Rieko was also surprised by Bunsuke Inokari's unconventional behavior in the defense of Nagai, a suspect who was arrested three months before the statute of limitations.

Kyoko, a young woman with an unhindered spirit despite being physically bound to a wheelchair due to illness, and Shuji, a stylish and popular fashion magazine hairstylist, are brought together in a fateful traffic incident. Despite their confrontational meeting, they soon find themselves falling in love, with Shuji drawn to her courage and enthusiasm and Kyoko attracted to his ability to look beyond her physical limitations and into her heart. However, Kyoko's protective older brother and her worsening condition begin to test the bounds of their love for each other and threaten to end their beautiful life together.
