Ukrainian folk tale. The hero of the story, Kotigoroschko sets off on an arduous journey to find his sister Olenka, who has been kidnapped by an evil dragon. Dangers lurk everywhere. Everywhere the submissive servants of the dragon fight him, but again and again, good-hearted people help the brave young knight survive the adventurous journey: they give him a sword, life-giving water and a flying ship. Finally Kotigoroschko enters the realm of the dragon...

In the near future, a friendly exploratory mission to Earth from the planet Zenturia crashes on Mars's moon Phobos, and cosmonauts from the USSR are sent to the difficult and dangerous rescue. Although this film was never shown in the USA in its entirety, producer Roger Corman adapted the plot premise for his 1966 sci-fi-horror opus, QUEEN OF BLOOD, and utilized some of its special effects in that film.

A famous painter lives in idleness in the estate of the landlord Belokurov. Once he meets a family of Volchaninov's living in the neighborhood, in which there are two daughters: the eldest (Lydia), a serious and strict girl with convictions, who tries to help ordinary people and doesn't like the artist very much for his idleness, and the youngest (Zhenya or Misyus), which soon takes a great interest in the artist. The painter also falls in love with Zhenya, but Lydia destroys their happiness ...

On the way, the guys experience a raid by a White Guard gang on a train, the death of their father, and meet the homeless child Yashka, who brings a plan to Lenin - how to destroy all the bourgeoisie and all the counter-propaganda in one day. The boys become involved in revolutionary events, and ahead is Moscow, a chance meeting and conversation with Lenin and Dzerzhinsky, the fight against counter-revolution...

The childhood of three friends, Ilya, Yacob, and Pavel, was spent in the innkeeper's house. Their three destinies are similarly unhappy. Yakob died of tuberculosis, Ilya, after robbing a merchant, committed suicide. And Pavel, who let the woman he loved join a brothel, can no longer be happy.
