A group of old college friends reunite to relive their glory days by renting a beautiful cabin in the woods. As the sun sets on their first day in the cabin, bright flashes of light announce the arrival of mysterious creatures. These friends will have to outwit a force that is both inhuman and extremely intelligent in order to survive. Geeky high-schooler Alex Mackendrick, dissed by his girlfriend, boss, and stepfather, is suddenly empowered when he steals a pair of telekinetic gloves from his only friend, an experimental scientist. The God-fearing teen spins over the edge when the scientist is accidentally killed during a scuffle over the purloined gloves. Convinced that his life is over, Alex goes on a resentment-filled revenge spree, using his newly acquired kinetic powers to pay back those who have done him wrong.

Ils ne se connaissent pas mais se croisent tous les jours et surtout comme dans le film de Lubitsch échangent une correspondance follement amoureuse par le biais d'Internet.

A Dillon, une petite ville du Texas, le championnat d'état de football est pris très au sérieux. Et l'équipe du lycée semble extrêmement prometteuse...
