Kanjuro Nomi est un samouraï sans sabre, répudié par tous et errant misérablement sur les routes avec sa fille depuis qu’il a refusé de combattre. Takuma est un jeune garçon souvent hospitalisé. Il est suivi par un cardiologue, qui a lui-même une fille, Mayu. Les deux enfants se lient d’amitié et nourrissent des sentiments l’un pour l’autre. Ils vont jusqu’à se promettre le mariage… malheureusement, le cardiologue annonce que le jeune garçon ne vivra pas, passé l’âge de 20 ans.

In the city of Minato Mirai in Yokohama, the news of Fusion's defeat by the Pretty Cures is the hottest topic in town! Girls everywhere, were in love with the Pretty Cures, are dressing up and acting as their favourite Cures. Only Sakagami Ayumi, the new transfer student, is alone by herself. On her way home from school, Ayumi encounters a strange creature. After naming it Fuu-chan, Ayumi and the creature soon become good friends. However, Fuu-chan is actually a piece of Fusion, and holds the power of darkness. In an effort to make Ayumi happy, Fuu-chan swallows up everything that Ayumi dislikes, creating chaos in school and throughout the city! To help bring across Ayumi's true feelings to Fuu-chan, all 28 Pretty Cures were gathered once more. When everyone's power comes together, a miraculous light starts to shine.

Once a year, on Christmas Eve, Cafe Telekinesis holds a real psychic party. At the party, psychics gather together to show off their abilities while for the rest of the year they hide their abilities. Yone Sakurai is a program director for a psychic variety TV show called "Asunaro Psychic". She is stressed out and tired from her work, but proud of what she is doing. Yone actually believes in psychic abilities. By an audience request a new plan is set out for the program, a plan which requires the show to uncover real psychics or psychic events.

Four young people have been arrested for crimes they did not commit. When one of them learns that his daughter is in a critical condition because of an incurable heart ailment, he decides to break out of the jail. He is joined by three other prisoners who also decide to break out of jail. Although their motives and backgrounds are different, all of them are innocent and there are reasons why they cannot wait till their release. They have to get out of jail as soon as they can. So they band together and begin to plan their escape in order to accomplish their goals. Bound for Tokyo, they have to overcome frequent challenges for the sake of their families and loved ones.

De plus, Koichi l'annoince à son jeune frère et à sa soeur. 14 ans plus tard, les trois frères et sœurs ressentent toujours autant de rage contre le meurtrier de leurs parents que le jour où c'est arrivé. Puis un jour, ils localisent le meurtrier....
