They agreed with VIVA Films that they will retain the original elements of the movie. Katrina Halili was the personal choice of Lorna Tolentino to reprise the latter's movie role as Rosita in the series. Due to Jennylyn Mercados pregnancy, she and boyfriend Patrick Garcia decided to drop out of the cast. Nadine Samonte and Polo Ravales were chosen as their replacement.
