A man is kidnapped from his city home in the quiet hours of the night and, the kidnapper, John Kelly, embarks on a journey into the Australian Outback towards the place where his hostage is due for delivery. As time and distance roll by, the strength and endurance of both men will be tested to the very end.

Six amis partent faire du camping sauvage, dans une nature tout aussi sauvage, mais quand l'un d'entre eux va faire trempette dans un trou d'eau, elle en ressort fiévreuse, finit par régresser à l'état primal du prédateur, et commence tout simplement à essayer de boulotter ses copains, qui eux, du coup, sont un peu coincés dans leur campement. Et comme un malheur n'arrive jamais seul, elle va très vite se trouver un petit copain.
