Marc, an unexperienced medical doctor from Germany arrives at the Hospital Universitario del Valle in Cali, Colombia for his internship and soon finds himself in-between a raging gang war in Siloé, a Cali barrio. In the hospital he has to care mostly for shotgun wounds, while in the streets he falls in love with a stall-holder who cares for some of the children involved in drug trafficking and criminal violence. Alienating his colleagues and his host family while befriending the kids, he soon finds himself trapped in the center of the violent conflict between the gangs and has to come to a decision.

Eliú, un garçon de la campagne, est incarcéré dans un centre expérimental pour mineurs au cœur de la forêt tropicale colombienne, pour un crime qu’il a commis avec son ami El Mono. Chaque jour, les adolescents effectuent des travaux manuels éprouvants et suivent des thérapies de groupe intenses. Un jour, El Mono est transféré dans le même centre et ramène avec lui un passé dont Eliú tente de s’éloigner.

Alfonso est un vieux paysan qui revient au pays pour se porter au chevet de son fils malade. Il retrouve son ancienne maison, où vivent encore celle qui fut sa femme, sa belle-fille et son petit-fils. Il découvre un paysage apocalyptique. Le foyer est cerné par d'immenses plantations de cannes à sucre dont l’exploitation provoque une pluie de cendres continue. 17 ans après avoir abandonné les siens, Alfonso va tenter de retrouver sa place et de sauver sa famille.

Oscuro animal tells the story of three women forced to flee their homes in a war torn region in Colombia. Each of their journeys, marked by terror, takes them on a trek from the deep jungle to the outskirts of Bogotá, where they will gather new strength to start a new life.

Nuria, 12 ans, Fabio, 9 ans, et leur mère arrivent dans une petite île au milieu de l’Amazonie, aux frontières du Brésil, de la Colombie et du Pérou. Ils ont fui le conflit armé colombien, dans lequel leur père a disparu. Un jour, celui-ci réapparait mystérieusement dans leur nouvelle maison.

Three characters lives become intertwined when they meet on the Atlantic side of the Amazon — Janalice, a victim of human trafficking; Preá, who must make peace with his fate as the leader of a local criminal organization known as the "water rats"; and Mariangel, who is seeking to avenge the deaths of her family. All three of them must try to break the curse, or "pssica," that they believe has been cast on them.
