The film's title is a pun, the double meaning referencing both the "wrong genre" and a person with distasteful motives. Insecure novelist Martial Bok promotes his new sexy novel La Fille de Dos ("Girl Observed From the Rear") with a round of book-signings and talk-shows. When beautiful hat designer Camille buys the book, Martial follows her and spies on her as she reads his book and removes her clothing. It's the beginning of his obsession and also an inspiration. After Martial's live-in girlfriend Lucie establishes contact with Camille for real, Martial is able to type out another sexy manuscript.

Après plus de vingt-cinq ans d'exercice dans un quartier populaire de Paris, Hippolyte et Joséphine ont pris la décision de fermer leur restaurant. A la suite d'un quiproquo, la statuette originale du dieu dansant, estimée à un million de dollars et volée au Mali, se trouve mêlée à neuf copies expediées à Lyon. L'un des généreux membres du comite Squash pour tous recoit l'original à la place d'une copie et l'ignore. D'ailleurs personne ne sait qui a la vraie statuette. De Krassmeier, l'organisateur de la combine à Alex, le transporteur, en passant par l'attaché de presse du "comité cambriole", tous sont à la recherche du dieu dansant.
