The Pixies est un groupe américain de rock alternatif formé en 1986 à Boston, dans le Massachusetts. Jusqu'en 2013, le groupe était composé de Black Francis (chant, guitare rythmique, auteur-compositeur), Joey Santiago (guitare solo), Kim Deal (basse, chœurs) et David Lovering (batterie). Le groupe s'est dissous de manière acrimonieuse en 1993 mais s'est reformé en 2004. Après le départ de Deal en 2013, les Pixies ont engagé Kim Shattuck comme bassiste de tournée ; elle a été remplacée cette année-là par Paz Lenchantin, qui est devenue un membre permanent en 2016.
