Vers la fin du 19ème siècle, en Australie. Jim Craig, devenu orphelin suite à un accident qui couta la vie à son père, se retrouve dans l'incapacité de reprendre la petite exploitation d'arbres et doit descendre dans la vallée pour trouver du travail. Ici, il se fait embaucher par un riche exploitant agricole, l'autoritaire Harrison, et ses relatioins avec son nouveau patron sont difficiles. La situation devient intenable lorsque Jim et Jessica, la fille de Harrison, s'éprennent l'un de l'autre.

The Man from Snowy River is an Australian television series based on Banjo Paterson's poem "The Man from Snowy River". Released in Australia as Banjo Paterson's The Man from Snowy River, the series was subsequently released in both the United States and the United Kingdom as Snowy River: The McGregor Saga. The television series has no relationship to the 1982 film The Man from Snowy River or the 1988 sequel The Man from Snowy River II. Instead, the series follows the adventures of Matt McGregor, a successful squatter, and his family. Matt is the hero immortalized in Banjo Paterson's poem "The Man from Snowy River", and the series is set 25 years after his famous ride.

Correlli was an Australian television series first broadcast by ABC TV in 1995. It starred Deborra-Lee Furness as prison psychologist Louisa Correlli. The series also featured her future husband Hugh Jackman in one of his earliest roles. The first episode entitled "The Rat Tamer" has been released on to DVD. The creators and Associate Producers of the show were actress Denise Roberts from the ABC's G.P., and Carol Long. Roberts also played the role of prison warden Helen Buckley in episodes four and five.
