Killing The Shadows is a bawdy comic fable set in the Ottoman Empire during the mid-14th century based on two legendary figures in Turkish folkore, the jester Hacivat (Beyazit Ozturk) and the nomad Karagoz (Haluk Bilginer), men who apparently lived and died by their sense of humour.

Ten years old Cemil runs away from his stepfather who tortures him and his mother and ends up in Istanbul. Veli Firat Tanis, the leader of a gang which Cemil takes refuge in Haydarpasa, tries to send him back to his home by putting his pocket money. While the gang gather money for Cemil, they, at the same time, suffer from harsh living conditions. In the mean time Cemil's mother Münevver comes to Istanbul in the hope of finding her son.

Beyaz Show is a popular Talk Show program hosted by Turkish television personality Beyazıt Öztürk. It has been on air on Kanal D since December 1996. The program is among the most highest rated television shows in Turkey. The program consists Beyaz interviewing various celebrities and segments of his unique brand of humour.

O Ses Türkiye is a Turkish reality singing competition and local version of The Voice first broadcast as The Voice of Holland. It started on October 10, 2011. Its first season was held in February 19, 2012 on Show TV. The second season starts on Autumn 2012 on Star TV. One of the important premises of the show is the quality of the singing talent. Four coaches, themselves popular performing artists, train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner.
